THANK YOU! . . .
to all the boaters of Ohio!

Your attendance at this year’s hybrid Progressive Cleveland Boat Show & Fishing Expo made it an unquestionable success, and all the dealers and exhibitors that participated in this unique substitute for our traditional show express their sincere appreciation.

We planned to stage the 64th annual edition of Ohio’s oldest and largest boat and fishing show live as always. But that traditional January in-person event, like all the other northern winter boat shows in America, was scuttled by COVID-19. So, LEMTA opted to create a first-of-its-kind show for the boating industry — a combination online and in-person hybrid event.

It took months to develop the sophisticated online show. It ran for straight 10 days. And it was designed to simultaneously welcome visitors in dealers’ showrooms for live boat show special events.

“We were in uncharted waters,” says Michelle Burke, LEMTA president, “but we opted to invest time and resources to carry on our Cleveland show tradition of giving boaters that taste to summer in January. And we’re thrilled so many boaters and wannabes spent time with us online and at participating dealers.”

The online show drew a whopping 21,163 unique visitors who accounted for over 101,000 page views. Aside from the hundreds of boats in the show, there was a total of 337 special events. The top visited events included a series of 8 live stage presentations, followed by the 65 live dealer showroom specials and 28 live interactive Zoom Rooms featuring experts on topics ranging from new boat availabilities to boating with the family pet. The online portion also included live broadcasts by a field team from 8 different dealer showrooms.

As successful as the hybrid show was, the traditional in-person boat show is set to return in January, 2022 and we’ll look for you there.
